Summary of Changes

Hello @joehan, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request primarily updates the CHANGELOG.md file to document recent significant changes. These include the graduation of the MCP server from experimental status, various refinements and additions to MCP tools and prompts, and an important update to the Data Connect local development toolkit, ensuring all new features and fixes are properly recorded.

Highlights

  • MCP Server Graduation: The 'experimental:mcp' command has been officially renamed to 'mcp', signifying its graduation from experimental status, with the old name now serving as an alias.
  • MCP Tooling Enhancements: Several MCP tools have been consolidated to reduce their number for LLMs, some have been renamed for clarity, and the 'deploy' prompt is now 'firebase_deploy' for consistency.
  • New MCP Capabilities: A new 'firebase_read_resources' MCP tool has been added to allow LLMs to fetch guides or documentation via 'firebase://' links, and a '/firebase:init' MCP prompt was introduced to guide users in setting up backend services or Firebase AI logic.
  • Data Connect Toolkit Update: The Data Connect local dev toolkit has been updated to version 2.14.0, bringing fixes for enum field validation, preventing codegen crashes when no response type is generated, and resolving Dart codegen issues related to enum field names and equality.

Code Review

This pull request adds several changelog entries for recent MCP and Data Connect updates. The new entries are informative, but I've found a couple of minor issues. There's a typo in one entry and another could be rephrased for better clarity and consistency with the rest of the changelog. I've provided suggestions to correct these.

There's a typo in 'experiemental'. It should be 'experimental'.

This changelog entry is a bit vague. For consistency and clarity with other entries in this file, consider rephrasing it to start with 'Fixed an issue where...'. This makes it clearer to the reader what was resolved.

Suggested change
- JS/Kotlin codegen: Issue where if no response type was generated, generation would crash.
