An item that changes size after the list is created can be measured again with one call: remeasureItem(index).
Who is affected: lists whose items grow or shrink after render: expandable rows, loaded images, edited text.
Added
remeasureItem(index): booleanasks whichever per-item size source owns the list
to re-read one item after its content changed —autosize()re-observes it, and a
functionitem.heightor functiontable()rowHeightis called again — then
updates content size, the scroll anchor and plugin state derived from offsets. The
item data is not written, so a mounted row keeps its DOM and a focused control
inside it. It returnsfalsefor a non-integer index or one outside[0, total),
never throws, and returnsfalsewhere one item's size is not addressable:
a fixed item spec, andgrid(),masonry()andcarousel()(#347).
It is a core method, so it lands in every bundle: the measured cost is
+189 to +248 bytes gzipped per size scenario, base measured 10,539 →
10,735 (+196) — above
the proposal's estimate because the estimate predated review, which added the
scroll-anchor shift and the groups/table size-owner wiring.
Deprecated
table()'sestimatedRowHeight, deprecated in 3.3.0 for removal in 4.0
(#345). It remains accepted but does not size or measure rows; non-production
builds now warn once pertable()call, never per render or row. Use
rowHeightfor fixed rows, or arowHeightfunction with the
remeasureItem(index)API for heights that change after creation (#347).
