  Use the bounded millisecond join to wait on the same liveness condition as teardown assertions. Preserve release gates, timeout cleanup, and propagation of unobserved worker failures.

  Bind handlers to the complete fixture wrapper so gateway verification and store stubbing remain effective in synchronous and asynchronous fixtures. Keep the native web request fixture wrapper underneath the spy decorator.
