2.6.0 (2026-09-26)

Rename awaitSendAndForgetFutures to awaitOutgoingWrites and rebuild applications and dependent libraries, including annotated handlers. There is no alias or fallback.

Code Refactoring

  • tracking: rename outgoing write completion option (06eea18)

    The consumer completion option is now named awaitOutgoingWrites throughout @Consumer, ConsumerConfiguration, its builder and its accessor. The new name reflects that the option covers all tracked outgoing writes. Its default remains true; completion behavior and delivery guarantees are unchanged.

    **2.x API migration:** replace awaitSendAndForgetFutures with awaitOutgoingWrites and rebuild applications and dependent libraries, including classes with @Consumer annotations. There is no alias or fallback. An old compiled annotation setting awaitSendAndForgetFutures = false does not configure the new member and would otherwise fall back to its default of true.

    The 1.x API and release line are unchanged.
