Gateway agents can now ask operators questions instead of waiting until the run times out. Operators can answer or skip in the web interface or Discord; unanswered questions let the agent continue, and the inactivity watchdog pauses during the wait. The new operator contract is version 1.9.0, so the gateway requires dashboard support for that contract before deployment. #1749
Background work no longer lets a gateway run report success before the parent has handled each child's completion and delivered its follow-up reply. The gateway also rejects task calls that reuse an existing session, keeping child completion attributable; if required completion evidence is missing, the run ends incomplete rather than claiming success. #1752 #1759
Announce webhook authentication now happens before rate limiting, so unsigned traffic cannot exhaust the authenticated producer's shared quota. Replay protection also treats uppercase and lowercase forms of the same signature as one request, preventing a duplicate Discord post. #1758
Operator streams for completed runs now send the persisted terminal status and close when the run's replay entry has expired, freeing the stream slot instead of waiting for its timeout. Approval replies that fail after teardown are now denied exactly once, preventing permissions from remaining pending without an owner. #1760 #1751
