What Changed

  • Registered Xcode's built-in MCP bridge for the Codex plugin through .mcp.json and xcrun mcpbridge.
  • Clarified Xcode MCP guidance so the plugin uses Xcode's own MCP server directly rather than bundling a separate server package.
  • Updated maintainer validation so Apple repo-maintenance workflows delegate to productivity-skills/maintain-project-repo.
  • Bumped the Apple Dev Skills plugin version to 6.0.5.

Migration/Upgrade Notes

  • Users still need to enable Xcode external-agent access in Xcode > Settings > Intelligence > Model Context Protocol and keep the project open in Xcode.
  • Installed apple-dev-skills plugins now register the xcode MCP server via xcrun mcpbridge.
