v0.3.0
deck-visuals v0.3.0
Story-driven visuals + palette chooser
- Subject-idiom skins over the diagram primitives (e.g. space -> orbits,
architecture -> blueprints), driving form/metaphor only — never color. - Accent theme picker (
dv-onboard --form palette): pick a validated theme
from swatches, never name a color.
Marketing site
- Real 3-page site: landing (
docs/index.html), a full categorized gallery
(docs/gallery.html), and the original technical reference
(docs/reference.html) — genuine plugin output, not mockups. - "Aurora Depth" design system for the site's own chrome — a faithful port
of html5up's Dimension template's real CSS values, kept strictly separate
from the deck's own navy theme.
Per-theme coordinated dark surfaces
- Every accent theme now carries its own coordinated surface (hue-matched
via OKLCH at the same lightness/chroma as the original navy tokens)
instead of a fixed navy floor under every accent — a warm theme no longer
clashes with a cold blue background. - Re-validated all 16 themes against the shared 8-slot categorical data
palette with the realdv-tools validate-palette(exit 0). - A custom pasted brand accent gets a live-derived coordinated surface too
(in-browser OKLCH derivation in the palette picker).
New default diagram visual language
- Flow / Timeline: chamfered nodes (45°-cut corners, not rounded rects),
bold chevron connectors, a categorical accent-triangle tag per node. - Relationship / Architecture: genuinely dimensional isometric "plates" — a
flat top diamond plus two extruded rim faces (the plate's own categorical
hex at reduced opacity, never a new/derived color) — not a bare outline. - Five real construction bugs found by rendering and looking closely, fixed,
and documented as a permanent "Mistakes to never repeat" section in
references/visual-concepts.mdso they aren't rediscovered next time. - Gallery now demonstrates 4 of the 5 diagram recipes (added Timeline).
Levity
- Real levity-picker screenshot (previously an honest "pending" placeholder).
- A dedicated "Never a guessed GIF" homepage section: the real 25-shape seed
library, cadence discipline, sourcing rule, and accessibility guarantee. - A second real GIF specimen (Wile E. Coyote — "momentum without control").
CI
onboarding-server.yml's smoke check now runs on every PR (it was
path-filtered before, so it silently never ran on unrelated PRs — useless
as a required check) and skips its real build/test steps internally when
nothing relevant changed.mainis now branch-protected: PR required, the smoke check must be
green, no force-push, no branch deletion.
v0.2.0
deck-visuals v0.2.0
Visual onboarding
- A local swipe picker (runtime-free Go server, 127.0.0.1 only) rebuilds the
presenter's familiar-sources profile from a ~50-title show catalog. - Deck-time levity picker: choose one of 2-3 candidate GIFs per slide (3-up chooser).
- Premium shared dark UI (aurora background, card treatments, reduced-motion safe).
dv-tools (Go)
- The three Python helper scripts (check_media_url, coverage_report, validate_palette)
ported to one stdlib-only Go binary with subcommands, done test-first against a
golden parity harness (14/14). Python/JS scripts removed. - Fix: coverage capacity-mode GAP message now names the carrying titles.
CI
- onboarding-server.yml smoke-tests the picker server and runs go vet/test + the
coverage gate. build.sh now builds from the module dir (CI cross-compile fix).
