How to add shapefile layer as feature collection for #41 water app example?

I added my layer as an asset to the GEE but when I call the layer with this code
fc = ee.FeatureCollection('Catchments')
Map.addLayer(fc, {}, 'NSW catchments')
I run into errors.

Do we have to add the layer in jupyter notebook itself? if yes how do I do it?

Another way to do that without using EE assets is by using geopandas.read_file() and later geemap.geopandas_to_ee() .
