StreamyChat 0.10.0

@geeknessfr geeknessfr released this 04 Oct 18:20

Which file? StreamyChat-Setup-0.10.0.exe to install it, or StreamyChat-0.10.0-portable.exe to run it without installing. The other two are read by the updater, not by you.

Quel fichier ?

What changed

A second output for the voice, and an update that installs quietly.

Fixed

  • Updating from the button showed the installer's windows. It now installs the way it does
when you just close the app: silently, then it comes back.

StreamyChat xD

  • A second output plays the voice on another device. The same voice, the same main output,
one more device — a headset, say. Off by default.

  • The two lists refuse to show the same device twice. If both point at the same place, the
field says so and tells you what to do, and the second one doesn't play.

StreamyChat 0.9.4

@geeknessfr geeknessfr released this 26 Aug 16:23

Which file? StreamyChat-Setup-0.9.4.exe to install it, or StreamyChat-0.9.4-portable.exe to run it without installing. The other two are read by the updater, not by you.

What changed

Added

  • The logs now carry how much memory StreamyChat uses, every ten minutes, with how many
channels are open. If it ever feels heavy, the bug report says so on its own.

  • A user's card announces their latest messages, and they no longer run into each other.

Changed

  • "Reply" now puts the caret in the input. You had to click the field after clicking the
    button.

  • No more "Reply" button where you can't write — a followers-only or subs-only chat, and
    the merged feed.

  • In shared chat, the channel's picture replaces its name. The full name took up a huge
amount of room on every line. It stays on hover.

  • A channel's picture now names it on hover, in the "All" tab too.

Fixed

  • A tab's tooltip no longer sits on top of the channel banner when that tab becomes the
    active one.

    devient l'onglet actif.

StreamyChat 0.9.3

Choose a tag to compare

@geeknessfr geeknessfr released this 25 Aug 18:00

Which file? StreamyChat-Setup-0.9.3.exe to install it, or StreamyChat-0.9.3-portable.exe to run it without installing. The other two are read by the updater, not by you.

Quel fichier ?

What changed

Fixed

  • "Restart and install" did nothing at all. The update downloaded, the button appeared, the
click went nowhere and nothing said why. Closing the app installed it anyway, which is how
0.9.2 reached anyone who had it.

What changed

Fixed

  • "Sign out" no longer shows up before you have signed in. It was there, greyed out, on a
    fresh install.
  • The language setting claimed an unfinished translation falls back to French. It falls back
to English, and has since the interface was rewritten in English.

StreamyChat 0.9.1

Choose a tag to compare

@geeknessfr geeknessfr released this 25 Aug 15:18

Which file? StreamyChat-Setup-0.9.1.exe to install it, or StreamyChat-0.9.1-portable.exe to run it without installing. The other two are read by the updater, not by you.

What changed

Fixed

  • Automatic updates did not work at all in 0.9.0. "Check now" answered "The check failed",
every time. If you are on 0.9.0, install this one by hand: 0.9.0 cannot fetch it for you.
  • "Add a language" now opens the folder for you, and creates it if it is not there. The
folder does not exist until something makes it, so the instructions sent people to a path
    Windows called missing.
  • Command names in "What's new" were showing their backticks, as if the file had been
    pasted raw into the window.

Changed

  • "What's new" is shorter, and sorted. The main version leads with what it brought, its
fixes sit under it, and the two main versions before it follow. A link opens the full
changelog on GitHub, in your language.

répondait « La vérification a échoué », à chaque fois.

What changed

StreamyChat speaks English, and your channel says what happens on it.

⚠️ Sign in to Twitch again on first launch: six more permissions, without which your channel
will not report anything.

Added

  • A nickname menu. Profile picture, name colour, and how long ago the person last spoke.
Type @ and it opens on its own.
  • It filters while you type. You open it on "ge", you carry on with "ek", the list narrows
and your text does not move.
  • A nickname is found by its middle too. "geek" also offers "LeGeeK".
  • Commands that take a nickname open that menu. /ban, /timeout, /warn, /vip, /mod
and the others, the way /raid opens the channel one.
  • Your channel says what happens on it. Channel point redemptions, polls, predictions, hype
trains, goals and ad breaks land in the chat.
  • Shoutouts show up. The ones you send, the ones you get, and the ones from other mods.
Twitch puts none of them in the chat: without this, they existed nowhere.
  • New follows too. On your channel, and on the ones you moderate.
  • StreamyChat speaks English. The language is picked under "Advanced"; by default it follows
    your PC.
  • You can add your own language. Drop a .po file into the lang folder of your data, then
restart. An unfinished translation falls back to English.
  • StreamyChat updates itself. It checks on launch, downloads in the background, and installs
the next time you restart it.
  • An "About" section, with your version, the update button and what each version brought.
  • A "Report a bug" button. It opens the form on GitHub already filled in with your version,
and drops the report file in a folder next to it, ready to drag in.

Fixed

  • The emote picker could stay empty for a whole session, on every tab. The emotes were
loaded: the screen did not know it.
  • Nicknames with no colour were all white. They now take one of Twitch's colours, derived
from the name: the same one from one evening to the next, as on the site.
  • The channel's own emotes went missing every other time from the "This channel" section.

Changed

  • Moderation wording uses Twitch's words. A "timeout", a "ban", a "warn", like the commands,
    which were already called that.
  • The six built-in themes keep their English names. A theme name travels inside the file you
export: it stays the same whatever the language. Your current theme is untouched.
  • More text follows the chosen language. An account's age, the moderation lines, the room
modes, the connection messages, the sign-in screen.
  • Amounts are written the way your language writes them. "0,003 $" in French, "$0.003" in
    English.
  • The number of open channels goes from 33 down to 10. The old figure was wrong: past the
11th, Twitch stopped reporting raids and nothing said so. Your tabs are all reopened.
  • Global emotes are grouped by provider (Twitch, 7TV, BTTV, FFZ) instead of one single
    heading.
  • Packaged versions now show as "Beta", not "Alpha". The app said one thing and the
    download page said another.

StreamyChat xD

  • Five settings sections instead of six. "Clean up messages" moved to the bottom of "Voice",
with its OpenRouter key and its test field.
  • The model and the cleanup prompt are no longer adjustable. StreamyChat answers for the
quality of the cleanup, so it sets the details.
  • The spending counters moved to "Advanced", next to the bug report.
