true I have not been spending a lot of time on PyBEL at the moment but I'm not really sure what your comment means

We are trying to clean up some of the outstanding tickets in the GO's Noctua repo to help with project planning. There is a broader effort in GO known as 'Pathways2GO' that aims to convert other pathway representations to GO-CAMs, so we thought that perhaps a BEL import might be more appropriately addressed in that project.
