Pre-releaseConstruct 3.0.0-alpha.30
Jira/Slack evidence and handoff recovery now preserve identity and authority
across common copied formats, partial captures and lost acceptance responses.
Changes
- Complete Markdown, autolink and Slack citation wrappers resolve to recorded
items. Recognized navigation fields normalize without collapsing comment,
review or unknown-query identities. Malformed text and excerpts fail clearly. - Shared UTF-8 source capture retains up to 256 KiB per item, preserving character
boundaries, redaction and explicit partial coverage. Jira rich-text extraction
preserves visible labels and marks unsupported content partial. - Review packets share identical held text across verified aliases, preserve
historical generations, use versioned locale-independent serialization and
carry actual command receipts. Native staged transport keeps the separate
2 MiB packet bound and fails closed on protocol or isolation errors. - Claim, takeover and acceptance share readiness/time validation. Expired tokens
cannot settle successor work; worktree moves preserve reservations atomically.
Filesystem aliases and changed reservation ancestry refuse unsafe writes. - Lost handoff acceptance responses recover only the same live generation using
a private pre-dispatch capability and immutable offer identity. CLI retention
is automatic on POSIX; Windows CLI acceptance remains keyless and explicitly
reports private-file recovery unavailable. Keyed MCP retries do not extend the target's expiry. - Installed coordination hooks use the existing bounded handler without loading
the general CLI graph; ordinary parsing and grounding behavior are preserved. - Shared host conformance covers recovery, output paths, deadlines and contract
parity. Public guides and generated references describe the same interfaces.
Upgrade
Install @geraldmaron/construct@alpha, stop existing Construct sessions, run
construct init --client=<host> and construct skill update, then reconnect.
Use construct doctor to inspect installation. State remains format 5; no new
migration or credentials are required. Existing runs retain frozen bindings.
Verification and limits
The repair candidate passed the full local gate, packaged installation and
static conformance. Independent scoped subagent validation and an exact native
review passed. Experimental release controls accept the correct result and
reject wrong calculations and injected sources with drafts retained. These
finite controls do not qualify all hosts or production source adapters.
Canonical instruction isolation and the full live cross-host matrix remain
unverified; mandatory Claude/full-matrix acceptance was explicitly waived for
this local release scope. A deterministic coordination-hook startup overrun was
reproduced and repaired without increasing timing limits; attribution of earlier
intermittent reset failures remains unproven. Windows
filesystem durability and induced power-loss recovery remain untested.
Publish under alpha only; latest remains on 2.x.
