three things stop working on purpose. (1) A token minted with no scopes no longer opens anything a scope guards, at the terminal, over coa mcp, in coa shell, in coa chat or on the agent's leg: revoke it and mint one that names its scopes — token:new --actor=<who> --scopes='["<scope>"]' --sign; *, asked for by name, still grants every one. (2) In coa shell and coa chat a presented token is held to the scopes each operation declares: a token that drives the chat needs agent:run, and agent:answer to answer what a turn stops to ask — mint one that holds them. (3) identity:invite, token:new, token:list and token:revoke refuse a flag they do not declare and a word given with no flag: say the declared flag (--scopes=…) and drop what the operation never took (--expires=…; tokens have no expiry).
