Upgrading from Rove Code

This is the first Paperplane nightly. Existing users must manually reinstall the desktop app, CLI, and mobile app; do not rely on the old updater for this rename.

• Stop Rove Code and its background service before the first Paperplane start. Paperplane copies the previous default home's data once into ~/.paperplane, without overwriting an existing destination. Keep the old home/profile backups. Existing worktree paths remain in their original location: do not delete the old worktrees directory.
• Install the new CLI from @getpaperplane/cli (nightly channel: @getpaperplane/cli@nightly), or use the CLI archives attached here. The executable is now paperplane. Service users run paperplane service install to replace the recognized old service.
• Reinstall and re-pair mobile clients. Pair hosted-web clients again at the new Paperplane origin; if the desktop asks you to pair remote hosts again, do so. Android widgets may need adding again. The unsigned IPA must be re-signed with your own Apple ID before installation.
• Rename project rove.json files to paperplane.json, including their $schema URL (https://paperplane.hafiezulzikry.com/schema/paperplane.json). Rename .rove/vcs.json to paperplane.vcs.json where used. Old project filenames are not read.
• Update personal agent/MCP permissions to mcp__paperplane__*; old tool-name aliases are not retained. Replace user-configured ROVE_* environment variables with their PAPERPLANE_* equivalents.
• Reinstall capture helpers and rerun paperplane browser setup if you use the browser sandbox. macOS builds remain self-signed and unnotarized; approve the new installation as appropriate.

The source build and CI signature checks passed. This is not a claim of manual installation testing on every supported platform.
