Warning

The Blockwright 0.6.0 Windows installer is not Authenticode-signed. Windows identifies its publisher as Unknown publisher, and Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may display Windows protected your PC. Download only from this official GitHub release, verify the asset against SHA256SUMS.txt, and continue through More info -> Run anyway only if the hash matches and you trust this repository. Do not disable SmartScreen globally.

A matching checksum detects corruption or changed bytes. It is not a publisher signature, trusted-publisher verification, or Sigstore provenance claim.

Blockwright 0.6.0 is the first self-contained Windows installer and portable MVP of the local-first Minecraft build architect, with MCP/Codex integration and a React + Three.js workbench for turning constrained briefs into deterministic, reviewable Java builds and delivery artifacts.

Highlights

  • Fail-closed build contracts and full-hash certificates covering entrances, clearance, spawn safety, requested spaces, lighting, interiors, support, palette, version, origin, and budget.
  • Exact block/material inspection, measurements, search, layer controls, annotations, and global defect-class audits in the 3D reviewer.
  • Private durable projects with autosave, immutable version history, diffs, restore-as-new-version, selected-region revision, and expiring exact-snapshot review links.
  • Sponge Schematic v3, Java and Bedrock functions, JSON, CSV, blueprints, exact material lists, and checksummed professional delivery ZIPs.
  • Bounded single-region Litematic v7 import/export. Real Litematica open/place/re-save compatibility remains explicitly unverified.
  • Native Windows Control Center with start, stop, restart, readiness/identity checks, logs, diagnostics, runtime repair, optional Codex registration, and reversible .schem association.
  • Private pinned Node.js 26.8.1 runtime in both Windows packages; no machine-wide Node installation is required.
  • Hosted account, storage, billing, and review foundations remain configuration-gated and are not implied to be enabled by the local Windows package.

Verify before running

Download SHA256SUMS.txt and the installer or portable ZIP from this release into the same folder. In PowerShell, calculate the downloaded file's SHA-256:

Get-FileHash -LiteralPath ".\Blockwright-0.6.0-windows-x64-setup.exe" -Algorithm SHA256
Get-FileHash -LiteralPath ".\Blockwright-0.6.0-windows-x64-portable.zip" -Algorithm SHA256
Get-Content -LiteralPath ".\SHA256SUMS.txt"

Compare the relevant result with the matching line in SHA256SUMS.txt; hexadecimal letter case does not matter. Do not run the file if the values differ.

Install on Windows

  1. Verify Blockwright-0.6.0-windows-x64-setup.exe as described above.
  2. Run the setup program.
  3. If SmartScreen appears, confirm that this is the file you downloaded from this release. Select More info, then Run anyway only if the hash matches and you accept the unsigned-publisher risk.
  4. Complete the per-user installation. The default location is %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Blockwright, and administrator access is not required.
  5. Open Blockwright Control Center from the Start menu, select Start server, wait for the verified Running state, then select Open local app.

Normal uninstall preserves user-created projects, exports, and palettes. The Windows operator documentation describes the separate explicit user-data removal option.

Use the portable package

  1. Verify Blockwright-0.6.0-windows-x64-portable.zip.
  2. Extract the entire ZIP; do not run it from inside the archive.
  3. Run Blockwright\scripts\windows\Start-Blockwright-Portable.cmd.
  4. Keep the extracted folder together: portable settings, projects, exports, logs, and caches live beneath it.

Release validation

The exact release packages were exercised on Windows through clean install, first launch, readiness and identity checks, the primary Blockwright/MCP workflow, upgrade from a synthetic prior-version installer fixture, same-version repair, managed stop, normal uninstall, explicit cleanup, and independent portable extraction/start/workflow/stop checks. Source tests, production builds, package synchronization, Windows distribution tests, Control Center tests, checksums, SBOM validation, and explicit unsigned-signature evidence also passed.

Important channel limits

  • This GitHub entry is intentionally marked as a prerelease, not a signed stable release.
  • The built-in updater correctly refuses unsigned installers. Upgrade from this MVP manually by downloading and verifying a later package.
  • No latest.json signed-update metadata is included.
  • This release is not eligible for WinGet.
  • The installer makes no Authenticode, trusted-publisher, or code-signing claim.
  • Signed stable Windows releases remain the preferred future channel.

Included assets

Exactly six release assets are provided:

  • Blockwright-0.6.0-windows-x64-setup.exe - unsigned per-user Windows x64 installer
  • Blockwright-0.6.0-windows-x64-portable.zip - self-contained portable Windows x64 package
  • SHA256SUMS.txt - SHA-256 manifest for the two distributions, both SBOMs, and signature-status record
  • blockwright-0.6.0-cyclonedx.json - CycloneDX SBOM
  • blockwright-0.6.0-spdx.json - SPDX 2.3 SBOM
  • blockwright-0.6.0-signature-status.json - machine-readable evidence that the installer is unsigned and does not satisfy the signed-release gate
