According to ImageMagick, the chromaticity was all NaN...

Oh, and for the public record: I simply loaded the .bmp into Fiji and re-saved it as .bmp. And now I even advertised my day-time project (also Open Source...).

I did not change that setting, of course, because the number of spam mails on the msysgit mailing list is really not funny (>> 100 spam mails per day), and I agree that we should not need to be distracted that way (having said that, @kusma is really keeping msysgit's spam queue empty in a very heroic effort).
