spec-kit not working with codex CLI

Since codex doesn't support arguments to custom slash commands, just curious if/how anyone is able to pass the requirements to /specify (for those who have actually done it)...

@localden I assume you've tested codex CLI with spec-kit, yea?

i ran this prompt:

/specify create an app that allows users to rate and review pens that they test

and codex replied with:

• Ran echo "$ARGUMENTS"

> Looks like no feature description came through. Could you share the text you entered after /specify so I can generate the spec?

I simply modified the prompt directly and replaced $ARGUMENTS with my prompt. Then just @ the prompt to initiate it.

Yeah, as @msullivanhdt mentioned, that's the way. There was an earlier issue on this very topic: #448. It's a Codex limitation that needs to be addressed (openai/codex#2890).
