First release in thirteen years — a stabilization release.

  • Python 3.10+ required (tested through 3.14); Python 2 support dropped.
  • Exact titles resolve before search suggestions; disambiguation pages raise instead of silently substituting another article.
  • HTTPS, connection reuse, configurable timeouts (5s connect / 15s read defaults via set_timeout), bounded retries with Retry-After support.
  • New RequestError exception; missing lists return [], absent coordinates return None.
  • Page objects keep their original language; bounded 5-minute caches.
  • Modern packaging (pyproject.toml, wheels) and GitHub Actions CI.
