SALVage 1.5.0

Minor release: a list without export or printing, the columns a user selected as a whole, and a check for a layout name typed on the selection screen. Existing calls do not change.

• toolbar( ) with toolbar_settings: is_export_disabled hides the export (spreadsheet, local file, word processor, HTML, XML, mail, send, folder) and the views in Excel, Lotus and Crystal Reports; is_print_disabled hides printing and the print preview. Full screen, dialog box and container.
• selected_columns( ) with type column_names: the columns the user selected by clicking their header.
• layout_exists( ) (static) and message ZSALVAGE 021 to check a layout parameter of a selection screen.
• Demos 02, 04 and 06 use the new methods; 6 unit tests (85 in all).

SALVage 1.2.0

SALVage 1.2.0 reads selected cells, fixes refresh after deleted or added rows, and gives
fullscreen lists with own buttons the everyday ALV functions. It includes the fixes of 1.1.1,
which was not released on its own. Existing calls keep working; see "Changed" for the one
behaviour change of button( ).

Tested on SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS03 (ABAP 7.58) with SAP GUI for Windows: 63 unit tests,
ATC (DEFAULT variant) without findings, abaplint against ABAP 7.50 syntax.

Added

• selected_cells( ) and type CELL_POSITIONS for selection mode cells.
• Demo ZSALVAGE_DEMO_06: cell selection.
• 23 unit tests (63 in all).

Fixed

• refresh( ) after deleted or added rows: filtered rows showed again, subtotals were lost.
• Clicks on total and subtotal lines reached the handler as row 0.
• layout( ) with is_save_disabled did not load the user's default layout.
• Demos 02-04 showed amounts in currencies without two decimals wrong (for example JPY).
• selected_rows( ) order, calls after a failed display( ), unknown colour or light column
  message, a click after the handler was cleared, slot texts after an exception, own button 9
  on an unsupported key.

Changed

• button( ) stores the name in upper case.
• GUI status SALVAGE_FULLSCREEN: select and deselect all, delete filter, find next, graphic,
  ABC analysis, choose on F2.
• refresh( ) uses IF_SALV_C_REFRESH=>FULL, the one object outside SAP's classic API list.
• Documentation: changeable tables, layout handles, containers, background jobs.

SALVage 1.0.0

First stable release of SALVage, a fluent wrapper around CL_SALV_TABLE for classic ABAP.

• One chain from the internal table to the screen: columns, sorting, totals (sum, average,
  minimum, maximum), filters, colours, traffic lights, layouts, selection, own buttons -
  also in full screen -, text above and below the list, dialog box and container display.
• display( ) checks the whole configuration first and raises ZCX_SALVAGE_ERROR where SALV
  would dump or silently ignore a setting.
• Uses only SALV objects SAP classifies as classic API; ABAP 7.50 and later.
• Tested on SAP S/4HANA 2023 (ABAP 7.58). Five demo reports on SCARR / SFLIGHT.
