James Pond 2: Codename RoboCod 1.0.4 (Windows)
A fix for saving on Windows: only the very first save ever worked, and every save after it said SAVE FAILED. Changes to the settings weren't kept either. Saves you already have load as before. The other systems didn't have this problem: macOS and Linux stay on 1.0.0, the PlayStation 5 on 1.0.2 and Android on 1.0.3.
You need your own Amiga disk image of the game (the Kixx re-release, a common cracked disk or a WHDLoad install). No game data is included.
Windows
- Quick saves, the three save slots, carrying on where you quit, and settings are kept every time
- Saves, settings and your disk work when your Windows user name has accents or other non-English letters (
C:\Users\José)
Also new since 1.0.0:
- Every controller works, whichever you used last, and a controller you used on the first-run page works in the game straight away
- Levels now load exactly as they do in the interpreter build, frame for frame (from 1.0.2)
To install, unzip JamesPond2-Windows-1.0.4.zip over your old copy, or anywhere you like, and start James Pond 2.exe. Saves and settings stay in %APPDATA%\bouncingball\James Pond 2\. More in the README.

James Pond 2: Codename RoboCod 1.0.3 (Android)
The first version for Android: handhelds such as the Retroid Pocket, AYN Odin and Anbernic's, Android TV boxes, and phones or tablets with a controller. The other systems stay on 1.0.0, and the PlayStation 5 on 1.0.2.
Note
A first test release: it hasn't been played on an Android device yet. If something doesn't work, please open an issue and say which device.
You need your own Amiga disk image of the game (the Kixx re-release, a common cracked disk or a WHDLoad install). No game data is included.
Android
- Played with the device's own controls, or a Bluetooth or USB controller. Back opens the menu
- The first time, choose your disk in Android's file picker. Without one (some TV boxes), copy the disk over USB into
Android/data/mobi.bouncingball.jamespond2/filesand choose Look again - Sent to the background, the game waits in its menu and keeps its place, so it carries on even if Android closes it
- Rumble from the controller, or from the handheld itself when its controls have no motor of their own
- On Android TV's home screen too, with a banner
To install, open JamesPond2-Android-1.0.3.apk on the device (the first time, Android asks you to allow installs from your browser or file manager), or run adb install JamesPond2-Android-1.0.3.apk from a computer. Needs Android 7 or later on 64-bit ARM. More in the README.

James Pond 2: Codename RoboCod 1.0.2 (PlayStation 5)
A PlayStation 5 update. Nothing changes in play, and the other systems stay on 1.0.0.
PlayStation 5
- Only the game's own code is built in now. The loader that sits before the game on the disk runs from your disk image instead, like anything else the recompiler doesn't translate
- Levels now load exactly as they do in the interpreter build, frame for frame
The console offers it as an update (1.0.2): copy the PPSA99323 folder over the old one in /data/homebrew/, keeping your disk image and userdata/.

James Pond 2: Codename RoboCod 1.0.1 (PlayStation 5)
A PlayStation 5 update: new home-screen artwork. Nothing else changes, and the other systems stay on 1.0.0.
PlayStation 5
- New background: the castle roof from the start of the game, set to the right so the home screen's title, Play button and tiles no longer cover it, and without the score display
- New icon: Robocod on the castle roof
The console offers it as an update (1.0.1): copy the PPSA99323 folder over the old one in /data/homebrew/, keeping your disk image and userdata/. The home screen may keep showing the old picture until the console restarts or wakes from rest mode.

James Pond 2: Codename RoboCod 1.0.0
The first release of James Pond 2: Codename RoboCod recompiled: the Amiga game's code translated to C++, running natively on Windows, macOS, Steam Deck and Linux, and the PlayStation 5.
You need your own Amiga disk image of the game (the Kixx re-release, a common cracked disk or a WHDLoad install). No game data is included.
