HowMany 3.1.0 separates source code from configuration, data and documentation. The new source summary and breakdown.rows fields make that distinction explicit while retaining the existing JSON fields.
- Add
--source-onlyand--tracked-onlyfor reproducible source inventories. - Respect generated/vendor Git attributes, explicit generator banners and generated filename conventions; preserve authored directories named
packages, buildorcoverage. - Fix quoted comment markers, Python docstring boundaries, Go raw strings, nested comments, JavaScript regular expressions and templates, JSX text/attributes, and Objective-C
.mdetection. - Keep complexity nesting nonnegative and apply the requested worker limit to the whole analysis.
- Include editor setup and live buffer counts through
howmany initand the language server.
Local qualification passed formatting, Clippy across all targets/features, 522 tests and 11 smoke checks against an installation from the packaged crate. Source counters were also checked against independent Python, Go and TypeScript language tools.
Install
cargo install howmany --locked
