Browser Profile MCP v0.5.3

Choose a tag to compare

@guilhermegm guilhermegm released this 24 Oct 08:28

Uses the supplied Proboscis Monkey MCP Folder Icon.png as the original artwork source, preserving its real transparency.

Updated toolbar and panel icons, wordmarks, Chrome Web Store artwork, website graphics, the brand board, and README previews all use the new image. The unchanged source is branding/logo/monkey-source.png. README image filenames are versioned for v0.5.3.

Downloads include the extension ZIP, matching Node.js bridge ZIP, updated brand kit, and SHA256SUMS. The bridge requires Node.js 20+ and npm. Reload the extension and restart/reconnect your configured MCP sessions after updating; saved pairings can be reused.

Validation: 16 focused non-browser setup/package/UI checks passed locally. Source alpha, dimensions, SVG embedded artwork, store padding, package versions, checksums, and absence of image metadata were checked. Source and package secret scans found no leaks. Full Chrome/provider end-to-end validation remains incomplete; README previews use sample UI states.

CWS submission materials added

The additional browser-profile-mcp-cws-kit-v0.5.3.zip contains the extension ZIP, three real 1280x800 panel captures, store icon and promotional tiles, ready-to-paste listing copy, permission and privacy declarations, a privacy policy, and reviewer instructions with an AI-account-free SDK route. The updated brand kit also includes the new captures and store copy. SHA256SUMS covers all four ZIP downloads.

Submission guide: https://github.com/guilhermegm/browser-profile-mcp/blob/main/CHROME_WEB_STORE.md

The captures use the actual installed extension, a disposable browser profile and pairing, and a real local SDK client that lists a harmless local tab. No existing Chrome profile or user pairing was accessed. These captures do not complete agent-specific Codex/Claude registration or the opt-in browser test suite. No CWS submission has been made. Publisher declarations and a final client check remain part of the submission procedure. The extension and bridge ZIPs are unchanged from the original v0.5.3 release.

Browser Profile MCP v0.5.2

Choose a tag to compare

@guilhermegm guilhermegm released this 24 Oct 08:13

The supplied Proboscis Monkey MCP App Icon is now the source for the extension and branding assets.

Updated assets include toolbar and side-panel icons, wordmarks, Chrome Web Store artwork, website/share graphics, the brand board, and the README setup previews. The original PNG is preserved as branding/logo/monkey-source.png, including its opaque black background. The store icon adds the required transparent outer padding.

Downloads:

  • Extension ZIP: unzip it and load the folder through Chrome Developer mode, or use it as the extension package when preparing a store submission.
  • Bridge ZIP: matching Node.js helper for v0.5.2. Requires Node.js 20+ and npm. The extension's setup prompt points to this release and SHA256SUMS.
  • Brand kit: updated source artwork and exports, license notices, and clearly marked draft screenshot layouts.
  • SHA256SUMS: checksums for all ZIP downloads.

After updating, reload the extension and restart/reconnect the configured MCP clients so they load the updated local bridge. Saved pairings and existing MCP configuration can be reused.

Validation: source and package secret scans found no leaks; image exports, embedded SVG artwork, store padding, version consistency, and ZIP checksums were checked. Sixteen focused non-browser setup/package/UI checks passed locally, and the full GitHub CI check passed for this release commit. Full Chrome/provider end-to-end validation remains incomplete; README previews use sample UI states.

Browser Profile MCP v0.5.1

Choose a tag to compare

@guilhermegm guilhermegm released this 24 Oct 06:20

Browser Profile MCP connects Codex, Claude Code, and other local MCP agents to existing Chrome profiles and tabs.

Downloads:

  • Extension ZIP: unzip it, then use Chrome Developer mode → Load unpacked. No Chrome Web Store listing is implied by this release.
  • Bridge ZIP: the local Node.js helper. Requires Node.js 20+ and npm. The extension's setup prompt tells your coding agent to download this matching package, verify SHA256SUMS, and configure the MCP server. The agent starts the bridge automatically.
  • Brand kit: artwork, publication assets, and clearly marked screenshot-layout drafts.
  • SHA256SUMS: checksums for all ZIP downloads.

The extension also includes the helper source as a fallback. Release archives exclude runtime pairings, installed dependencies, local agent settings, and internal branding experiments.

Validation: 31 non-browser unit/integration/package checks passed; Gitleaks scans of the public source, public Git history, and release downloads found no leaks; production npm dependency audit reported no vulnerabilities. Browser/OS permission checks remain opt-in and were not run as part of this release validation.
