M-RustHub 1.1.1

@hadoooooouken hadoooooouken released this 29 Oct 14:55

Bug-fix release focused on button remapping and GUI polish.

Button remapping

  • "Disabled" now actually disables the button. It is now written to the mouse using the same encoding as the official MCHOSE driver.
  • The left button can no longer be remapped. The mouse firmware ignores changes to it, so the app used to show a new action while the button kept left-clicking. The GUI now shows it as a locked row, and set-button 1 fails with a clear error (the official driver blocks it too).

GUI

  • The window no longer grows taller than the screen: its height is capped to the monitor work area, and the content scrolls.
  • Clicking a DPI row behind an open dropdown no longer changes the selection.
  • An unsaved scroll direction change survives a mouse reconnect.
  • Factory reset now also resets the scroll direction.
  • The app version is shown in the window title.

CLI

  • status lists only the active DPI stages.
  • set-button help and error messages now list the disabled action.
  • README: how to make the shell wait for output and the exit code (| Out-Host in PowerShell, start /wait in cmd).

Other

  • Internal cleanup: the Win32 calls now use windows-sys instead of hand-written bindings, and the HID worker moved into its own module.

@hadoooooouken hadoooooouken released this 26 Oct 22:11

First release of M-RustHub — a native, lightweight, and 100% offline configuration utility for the MCHOSE G3 V2 gaming mouse.

A compact (~6.5 MB) portable alternative to the official software: launches instantly, has a minimal memory footprint, and requires no internet, web runtimes, or background services.

Features

  • GUI:

    • Real-time battery indicator with percentage and charging status.
    • Customizable number of active DPI stages (1 to 6 levels).
    • Independent DPI tuning per stage (100–12,000 DPI) via sliders, ±100 buttons, or clicking the row.
    • Polling rate selection: 125, 250, 500, and 1000 Hz.
    • Button debounce time (0–20 ms) to eliminate double-clicks.
    • Wireless sleep timeout (0–100 min, or disabled entirely).
    • Saves directly to mouse onboard memory — settings persist even on other PCs without software running.
    • Factory reset option (Shift + Restore button).
    • Adaptive window height based on active DPI stages.
  • CLI:

    • Full command-line support for hotkeys, scripts, and automation (status, set-dpi, set-rate, etc.).
