Angular 22 hardening. Runtime behaviour is unchanged by design.
Build system. build, serve and extract-i18n move off the deprecated webpack browser builder to @angular/build:application. Output stays at the root of dist/ through outputPath.browser, so GitHub Pages, Netlify and the Docker image keep publishing the same directory. Initial transfer drops from 251.38 kB to 205.90 kB and the production build runs in 5.5s instead of 10.9s.
Type checking. TypeScript strict and Angular strictTemplates are both on, which 22.0.0 had pinned off to keep the framework upgrade to one thing. 48 compiler errors and 3 template errors are fixed: real types on service parameters, definite assignment on fields Angular fills before first use, and Errors rather than bare objects behind the error banners.
Images and Node. engines.node narrows to ^22.22.3 || ^24.15.0 || ^26.0.0, matching Angular's published range. A .dockerignore takes the build context from 656 MB to 14 kB, so the image is built from the lockfile on node:24-slim rather than from a developer's node_modules.
