First public release of ownnow — the self-hosted here.now.

Publish a file or folder, get a live URL, on your own infra.

Install

Download the binary for your platform below, then:

ownnow version   # ownnow v0.1.0
OWNNOW_API_KEY=$(openssl rand -hex 32) ownnow serve
ownnow publish ./my-site

Or bring your own infra properly: docker compose up -d with the repo's .env.example (any VPS + your domain), or the Cloudflare path (Worker + R2, zero egress). See the README.

What's in it

  • 3-step publish flow (create → presigned upload → finalize), version history + rollback
  • Password-protected sites, anonymous 24h sites with claim tokens, TTL/expiry
  • SPA fallback, custom 404.html, directory listings, Wasm + cross-origin-isolation support
  • Storage: local disk or S3/R2/MinIO (hand-rolled SigV4, no AWS SDK). Agent skill in skill/.

Single static binary, CGO-free. Verify downloads with checksums.txt.
