VIIPER v0.0.7
VIIPER 0.0.7
This release is the production backend paired with DS4Windows 5.0.0.0 Release Candidate 4.
Highlights
- Unified the DualSense and DualSense Edge V5 transport around one strict, sequenced stream for input, atomic game feedback, speaker audio, advanced haptics, microphone data, lightbar state, player LEDs, rumble, and adaptive triggers.
- Kept PlayStation audio interfaces persistent per physical controller so profile or virtual-output changes no longer recreate the Windows playback and recording endpoints.
- Separated persistent controller audio from virtual gamepad lifetime, improving recovery after output reloads, DS4Windows service restarts, and controller reconnects.
- Added an independent low-latency advanced-haptics clock and atomic speaker/feedback generations so native game effects are not delayed, replayed, or overwritten by unrelated state updates.
- Preserved exact native DualSense game feedback while allowing DS4Windows to patch only the features a profile explicitly overrides.
- Stabilized Xbox 360 input polling and virtual-device lifecycle behavior.
- Removed obsolete DualSense transport contracts and legacy header fallbacks; production clients now use the documented V5 contract exclusively.
- Fixed the Windows tray message loop and ensured packaged builds display
