Analyze the recent conversation/context to identify a problem that occurred and the solution that was found. Update CLAUDE.md to document this learning so future sessions can avoid repeating the same mistake.
If $ARGUMENTS is provided, use that as the focus for what to remember. Otherwise, analyze recent context to identify the most significant problem/solution pair.
- Identify the problem/mistake that occurred in recent work
- Document the solution/best practice that was discovered
- Update CLAUDE.md by adding or updating the "## Common Mistakes & Solutions" section
-
Use clear format:
- Problem: Brief description of what went wrong
- Solution: How to do it correctly
- Example: Before/after or specific examples
- Commit the changes to preserve the institutional learning
- Technical implementation mistakes
- Process/workflow issues
- Configuration problems
- Best practices that prevent repeated errors
- Time-wasting patterns that can be avoided
The goal is to build institutional memory so Claude Code becomes more efficient over time by learning from previous mistakes and solutions.
