@makinglayerschannel thank you for the video and the bug report, that made both easy to find. Both came from the cut lying exactly on the top of the lid's plate: the split handed that face to the rim as a brim without thickness, so the rim kept the plate's full width, and grouping it with the larger plate then left the stray bits you found. Now each half is cut a hair clear of such a face and put back onto the plane, so the rim comes out as wide as it really is and the group is clean. The white cut line was missing for the same reason and now shows there too. It's in layerling 1.138.0.
