@ffcaptain thanks for the idea. Threads can now be tapered, and the size menu has the NPT pipe threads from 1/16" to 4". Pick a size from the NPT series: it sets the pipe's diameter, the threads per inch, the 60° profile and the taper. You can also switch on "Tapered (1:16, NPT)" on any thread. A rod or screw narrows towards its tip, a nut or tapped hole widens towards its mouth, and the tapered thread comes out in STEP as well. It's in layerling 1.138.0.
