@dlguess thanks for the idea. A closing latch is a good addition to a box with a lid. A snap-fit with its catch, a hook on one part and the catch on the other, is already being worked on by @marcus040473 together with screw bosses and ribs, and I'll see how that turns out. For a magnet closure you can already cut a pocket for a magnet into the lid and the box with a cylinder as a hole. Other kinds of latches stay here as a suggestion for now, I don't have plans for them yet. |

I just got to thinking with all the lids going on I didn't want people to spill things out thinking just the lid would save them, that would be too much to bear them haing to chase down all that stuff that fell out and then try to remember what was in it to begin with. No wait, thats just me. :-) |

Good news @dlguess: the snap-fit hook with its catch is in layerling 1.140.0 now, together with screw bosses and ribs (the enclosure parts): https://layerling.com/ – put the hook on the lid, the catch on the box, and it clicks shut. A latch built right into the lid tool is on my list too. |

@dlguess the click bumps for the lid are out now in layerling 1.141.0: small bumps on the lid's lip snap into dimples in the box's wall.

If you gonna have a usable box that closes, surely a clast or latch to keep them closed is needed. Bolt latch, spring latch, magnetic, locking, they'll need two parts to close it. All sorts of latches from the site below.
