Measuring Bugs

A couple of measuring bugs, or what I think are bugs. https://youtu.be/62nW9AT-G8M

@makinglayerschannel thank you for the video, it showed both problems clearly.

1. The reference point: you were dragging the point itself, and a dragged point did not snap to anything. Only the other way round worked: a shape you drag snaps to points. Now a dragged point snaps to the corners, the middles of the edges and faces of bodies, to real corners and to other points. Hold Alt to let it go free.

2. The ruler: it only knew how it was turned on the plate. Stood up, it kept measuring along the plate in its 3° direction, which gave 40.99 (40 × cos 3° + 20 × sin 3°). Now it measures along its own direction, so upright beside your box it shows the height, 20. The other two numbers you saw, 25 and 3, are the ruler's own width and thickness, shown because it was selected.

Both will be in the next release.

Thanks for the quick response and explanation.

@makinglayerschannel both fixes are out in 1.106.0: a reference point you drag now snaps to corners, edge middles, face centres and other points (Alt lets it go free), and a ruler stood up measures along its own direction, so it shows the height. Reload the page to get it; the installed app needs a restart.
