@NorthHighlander101 thank you, and you are not missing a setting. In the hinge of today the leaves are held below the bore of the knuckles, because the pin runs through the middle of the knuckle and the leaf lies flat on the plate beside it: a leaf can be at most the knuckle's radius less the pin's radius less the clearance thick. So with a knuckle of 6 mm, a 2 mm pin and 0.4 mm clearance the leaves reach 1.6 mm, and a leaf as thick as the whole knuckle is not possible in this design. What you describe is a different kind of hinge, flush, with the knuckles inside the thickness of the leaves and a stop at about 90°. That does not exist yet. There is a similar idea in #907 about other hinge designs, so I have put your request there as well. |

Dear Stephan
I noticed you had added a surface texture feature in 1.114.0 and I had
to divert attention to it to try it out, as it is a key requirement for
my buildings modelling.
I achieved in 10 minutes what it has taken me MONTHS to work out in
Fusion and Blender!
Keep going!
I am applying to sponsor you in Github.. it will only be a small amount
because of limited funds at the moment, but I consider your efforts to
be priceless!
Best regards

The ability to add a hinge from the shape library is truly a great inclusion in Layerling.
However, I'd like to be able to have the diameter of the knuckles the same as the thickness of the two leaves. I'd need to have one leaf to open no more than 90 degrees from the flat, I don't think such an arrangement can open more than that.
Am I missing one of the variables in the current version??
