AI SQL Assistant

Built-in chat assistant for writing, explaining, fixing, and optimizing SQL queries.

  • Multi-provider support: Google Gemini, Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic
  • Free tiers: Gemini (15 req/min) and Groq (30 req/min) -- no credit card needed
  • Streaming responses: Real-time token-by-token output via native fetch/SSE
  • SQL code blocks: Extract SQL from responses with Insert and Copy actions
  • Encrypted API keys: AES-GCM with device-bound key stored in IndexedDB
  • Zero dependencies: No AI SDKs -- all native browser APIs
  • Keyboard shortcut: Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+A to toggle

Settings

  • New AI tab for provider selection, API key management, and model configuration
  • Test Key button to validate API keys before use
