  • Firmware updates for battery devices. Update Device Firmware now asks when to install: Now, or The next time the device asks. The second waits until the device wakes and asks for new firmware by itself, so a sleeping sensor no longer misses its update. If an attempt fails, zigbee2mqtt tries again next time, and the Failed trigger waits until the update is really over.
  • Cancel Firmware Update — a menu item and an action that cancel a scheduled update or stop one that is installing.
  • Release notes — where the maker publishes them, the start of them appears in the log when an update becomes available, and in Report Firmware Status.
