Breaking Changes:

  • On /watch URLs containing both a video ID (v=) and a playlist ID (list=), the parser now prioritizes the video ID. This is entirely different behavior from the earlier iterations of trimsec's parser.
  • More parser improvements have been added which make it more "context-aware".

Improvements:

  • The drawing API has now been largely optimized, with lesser string-allocations and more math.

New features:

  • Added interactive mode (can be activated by just typing ts without any arguments).
  • Added a new all:: prefix for generic YouTube URLs, which enables trimsec to extract the playlist's ID from a given URL. This becomes especially useful when you do not have the playlist's URL, but do have the link to a video within that playlist, but you still would like to traverse the entire playlist.
  • This release adds intermediary multithreaded processing of YouTube URLs to speed up fetching-times, finally making use of the rayon dependency that was included beforehand.
