Light Media Center v2.1.2

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 30 Oct 20:31

Light Media Center 2.1.2 focused on accuracy and quality improvements for photos and videos rendering.

Improvements

  • Improved thumbnail performance and memory usage
  • Improved photos / videos rendering quality and accuracy
  • Improved robustness when handling corrupted / malformed metadata

Known issues

  • Server transcoding may not preserve certain metadata (e.g. Dolby Vision, interlace).
  • HDR and WCG are not available on GNOME Wayland by default; perceptual HDR can be enabled manually (see installation docs).
  • Wayland Picture-in-Picture video playback does not automatically pin the window on top of others. This is a Wayland protocol limitation.
  • Android system library does not support grouping by geo locations due to Android API limitation.
  • Android hardware decoding does not support dynamic HDR metadata (Dolby Vision / HDR10+) due to ffmpeg mediacodec API limitation.
