Changes
Home Assistant OS 18.5 is a security release that only updates the Linux kernel for Raspberry Pi and Home Assistant Yellow to 6.18.59. The update picks up the fix for CVE-2026-98432, a use-after-free in the IPv4 socket options handling of the networking stack. All other boards already received this fix with the kernel update in 18.4.
Note
To our knowledge, this vulnerability is not being widely exploited in the wild. Users who expose their Raspberry Pi directly to the internet or run it on untrusted networks are encouraged to update.
