Summary
hookdeck listen now forwards binary request bodies to your local server byte for byte: images, PDFs, application/octet-stream, and multipart uploads with file parts. Upgrade to receive them. With v3.0.3 and earlier, these events show as failed in Hookdeck with CLI_BINARY_UNSUPPORTED and never reach your local server; multipart uploads still arrive, as text.
New features
-
hookdeck listenforwards binary request bodies unchanged. Events with animage/*,application/pdforapplication/octet-streambody reach your local server with the original bytes andContent-Type, so a file your app saves matches the one that was sent. Previously these events failed withCLI_BINARY_UNSUPPORTEDand never reachedlisten. (#463) -
Multipart uploads keep their file parts intact. On connections that use binary-safe multipart handling, a
multipart/form-datarequest arrives with its boundary and file bytes unchanged, so your framework's form parser recovers the original files. Connections still on legacy multipart handling receive multipart as text, as before. (#463) -
The interactive view summarises binary bodies. The event details show
(binary body, N bytes)instead of printing the bytes.
