markits compiles markdown into a snippet file for vscode. This allows for concise snippet management with markdown.
yarn global add markits
# or
npm install -g markits
Prepare a markdown file like the following.
# my typescript snippets
## `ei` - export a interface
generates `export interface ... {...}`.
\```typescript typescriptreact
export interface $1 {
$2
}
\```
## `eci` - export a class that implemented a interface
generates `export class ... implements ... {...}`
\```typescript typescriptreact
export class $1 implements $2 {
$3
}
\```
Then run the following command to generate the snippet file.
markits snippets.md snippets.json -o
Finally, move the generated snippet file to the vscode snippet folder(ex: /Code/User/snippets/snippets.json
).
## <snippet-name>
## `<prefix>` <snippet-name>
or
## `<prefix>` - <snippet-name>
<snippet-description>
\```<scope0>[,<scope1>[,<scope2>[,...]]]
<snippet-body>
\```
markits provides an API for the compiler.
yarn add markits
# or
npm install markits
import { Compiler } from 'markits'
const compiler = new Compiler()
const snippets = compiler.compile(markdown)
console.log(JSON.stringify(snippets, null, 2))
