MP-TVSeries 4.7.0.5 (community version)

A community version of MP-TVSeries for MediaPortal 1. It is not the official release from the MediaPortal Plugin Team, and installing it is entirely your choice.

If you don't like it, simply uninstall it and go back to the original MP-TVSeries you had before.

New in 4.7: free show information, no subscription needed

• If you don't enter a TheTVDB PIN, show details, episodes, cast and pictures now come free from TMDB (The Movie Database). There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to enter.
• If you have a TheTVDB PIN, enter it on the Online Data tab and TheTVDB is used, just as in 4.6. If you're upgrading from 4.6 with a PIN, nothing changes for you.
• A Source setting on the Online Data tab lets you choose: Automatic (the default), TheTVDB or TMDB.
• Your library keeps TheTVDB's show numbers either way, so you can switch between the two without starting again.
• Shows TMDB has without a TheTVDB number (common for documentaries) are matched by name and year.
• A few shows aren't on TMDB at all; they stay unlinked for now (TVmaze is planned as a backup for them).

What you need

• MediaPortal 1.32.100 or newer (tested on 1.39).
• Nothing else for the free option. Optionally, your own TheTVDB subscription PIN (currently US$11.99 a year, see [their FAQ](https://support.thetvdb.com/kb/faq.php?id=82)). One subscription covers every app that uses TheTVDB this way, so if you already have one for Kodi, Plex or Emby, it works here too.
• No API keys are needed; they're built in. Trakt is optional; ratings work without it.

Installing

1. Close MediaPortal and MP-TVSeries Configuration (if either is open, the old files aren't replaced).
2. Back up C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Database\TVSeriesDatabase4.db3.
3. Download MP-TVSeries-4.7.0.5.mpe1 below and double-click it. When it asks to remove the older MP-TVSeries first, say Yes.
4. Open MP-TVSeries Configuration and run an import. If you have a TheTVDB PIN, enter it on the Online Data tab first. The first import takes a while.

Also in 4.7

• A show that couldn't be found in one import is looked up again in the next.
• A first import no longer downloads every show twice.
• Shows on a new database no longer all show "(needs import)".
• Imports only check for .tvdb files for new files, not the whole library again.
• About tab: the TMDB credit and logo, and the correct build date.

From 4.6

• TheTVDB's current (v4) service: shows found by name again, titles and episodes in your language, favourites.
• Reads show IDs from .tvdb, tvshow.nfo and series.xml files, and keeps same-named shows apart.
• Trakt community ratings for series, seasons and episodes, without the Trakt plugin.
• Artwork fixes, recovery of episodes left behind by failed imports, and no crash on very long file paths.
• Includes the official team's 4.5.1.745–756 fixes.
