Files and screenshots, and Arabic.

  • Attach files to a task or a message. Use 📎 beside Send (or "📎 Attach files" under a new task's description), drag files onto the box, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V.
    • Each file shows as a chip before you send, and ✕ takes it out. Up to 10 files at a time, 20 MB each. A message can be files only.
    • The app copies them into the task's own folder, never into your project, so nothing reaches a commit.
    • Both agents can open them: images, PDFs and text. A Planner in its default isolated mode can read the attached files and still nothing of your project.
    • In the timeline, images show as a preview under your message, and a click opens any file.
  • Arabic, right to left. Every paragraph you write, and every paragraph the agents write back, keeps its own direction: Arabic from the right, English from the left, code always left to right. The interface itself stays English.
    • The Planner writes its questions and its final report in the language you write in.
  • Built in public. Releases are now built by GitHub Actions from this repository, and each file carries a build provenance attestation. The site has a code signing policy page; signing itself is still being set up.

Nothing else changes: same models, same defaults. Your tasks and settings carry over as they are.

Your tasks, in order.

  • Grouped by project. The task list groups tasks by their project folder, and each group folds. A folded group still shows a dot when a task in it needs you. All at the top of the list switches to one flat list.
  • Search. A box at the top of the list finds tasks by name, description or project folder, archived ones included.
  • A menu for every task, on its row in the list (or a right-click) and in the task's header:
    • Rename edits the name in place. Double-clicking the name still works.
    • Pin to top keeps a task near the top, under the tasks that need you.
    • Archive moves a finished or stopped task to an Archived section at the foot of the list. Nothing is deleted, and Unarchive brings it back. A message to an archived task brings it back by itself.
    • Delete moves the task's folder to the Windows Recycle Bin. Your project, its git branch and Claude Code's own session files are not touched, and the dialog says so before anything happens.
    • Archive and Delete are for a task at rest. A running task, or one waiting for you, has to be stopped first.
  • Resizable side panels. Drag the inner edge of the task list or of the side panel to widen or narrow it. Double-click the edge for the default width. The widths are remembered, and the timeline always keeps enough room.
  • A bigger message box. It grows to 8 lines before it scrolls. When the window is narrow, it moves under the Pause and Stop buttons instead of being squeezed beside them.

Nothing else changes: same models, same defaults. Your tasks and settings carry over as they are.

MushrifLoop 1.6.0

@hqudsi hqudsi released this 08 Oct 12:43

The app tells you when a new version is out.

  • At start and once a day, MushrifLoop asks GitHub for its latest release. When there is a newer one, a quiet line under the title bar says so, with Download (opens the release page in your browser) and Dismiss (hides it for that version only).
  • It never downloads or installs anything itself. You install the new version as usual.
  • Nothing about you or your tasks is sent. It is the second network request the app makes itself, next to the npm check for the latest Claude Code version.
  • Settings → General → New MushrifLoop versions shows the installed and latest versions and has Check now. The switch there turns the automatic check off. When it is off, the app asks nothing on its own.
  • Nothing else changes: same models, same defaults.

Versions before 1.6.0 cannot tell you about updates. Installing this one means you will hear about the next.

MushrifLoop 1.5.0

Choose a tag to compare

@hqudsi hqudsi released this 08 Oct 06:28

Haiku 5.5, with effort levels.

  • Haiku 5.5 (claude-haiku-5-5) can be chosen for the Planner or the Executor, with every effort level from low to max. Its own default is medium. It needs Claude Code 2.1.293 or newer. On an older Claude Code the app says so, as it does for the other new models.
  • The haiku alias now has effort control. From Claude Code 2.1.293 it runs Haiku 5.5. Older versions still run Haiku 4.5, which takes no effort level. A saved setting of haiku without an effort now reads as medium, Haiku 5.5's own default, so it behaves as before.
  • Nothing else changes: the defaults are still the Planner on opus and the Executor on sonnet, both at medium.

Run claude update to get Claude Code 2.1.293.

MushrifLoop 1.4.0

@hqudsi hqudsi released this 06 Oct 20:49

What's new

  • Sonnet 5.5. It is in the model list, and from Claude Code 2.1.284 the sonnet choice runs it. An older Claude Code still runs Sonnet 5.
  • New defaults: the Planner on opus (Opus 5.5) and the Executor on sonnet (Sonnet 5.5), both at medium effort. They were xhigh and high. If you already have settings, the app offers you the change and does not make it for you. Existing tasks keep their own settings.
  • Cheaper handoffs. When the Executor hands its work to a fresh session, it now writes the summary to a file. Its prompt cache is kept, where before it was rebuilt from nothing.
  • The Executor sees the task. The full task text is in the Executor's instructions, for reference. Each turn still does only the step the Planner sent.

What it costs now

On three large tasks, one run each, every hidden test passed. It cost about half to 0.6 times as much as a plain Opus session, and took less time. The plain Opus runs were measured earlier, on an older Claude Code. A full comparison will follow.

Requirements

Windows 10 or 11, x64, and Claude Code 2.1.251 or newer, installed and signed in. Use 2.1.284 or newer for Sonnet 5.5.

The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows a warning. Choose "More info", then "Run anyway".

MushrifLoop 1.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@hqudsi hqudsi released this 02 Oct 13:11

The first public release of MushrifLoop.

MushrifLoop runs a coding task as a supervised loop between two Claude Code sessions on your own computer: a Planner that plans and reviews without touching your files, and an Executor that does the work. The app passes each step between them and holds the limits and checkpoints.

You need: Windows 10 or 11 (x64), and Claude Code 2.1.251 or newer, installed and signed in.

Files

  • MushrifLoop-1.3.0-x64-setup.exe — the installer.
  • MushrifLoop-1.3.0-x64-portable.exe — runs without installing.

The files are not code-signed yet. Windows SmartScreen will say "Windows protected your PC". Choose More info, then Run anyway. You can check a download against these SHA-256 values with certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256:
