Outlink v1.1.2
Outlink 1.1.2
Stable release. App version 1.1.2, Android version code 17, iOS build number 17.
The maintainer reports physical-device testing and has approved stable distribution.
Changes since 1.1.0 Beta 1
-
Correct the Android release build path after the 1.1.1 build stalled in native
CMake configuration. Serialize Gradle tasks, preinstall the required native
tools, and fail silent stalls with diagnostic logs rather than waiting 90 minutes.
The failed 1.1.1 tag is retained; no installer was published for it. -
Automatically expire local chat history after six hours, covering Nearby public
chat and DMs, Location public/private channels, and Bluetooth groups. -
Increase the loaded conversation window from 500 to 512 messages. Unexpired
history remains pageable; 512 is not a global disk-storage cap. -
Clean expired history at startup, periodically while the app can run, and on
resume. Existing history older than six hours is removed too. -
Compact the encrypted database after Clear local history to reclaim unused
pages. Periodic expiry reuses free space without running a full compaction. -
Keep Cashu tokens, contacts, group membership, drafts and pending delivery records
separate from automatic history expiration. Clearing chat history preserves
Cashu tokens and pending delivery records.
Includes the previous release's encrypted transfers of prepared Cashu tokens and
the compact Location channels Info panel.
Downloads and updating
- Outlink-android.apk: signed Android installer for direct installation.
- Outlink-android.aab: signed Google Play Console bundle; not directly installable.
- SHA256SUMS.txt: checksums for both Android files.
Install over the previous signed Outlink app to retain identity, contacts and
unexpired data. The application ID remains io.github.hsoc.outlink. Debug-signed
installations may require uninstalling first; uninstalling removes local data.
No iOS IPA is included; the iOS version/build metadata is updated for future builds.
Data and payment behavior
Six-hour expiration applies to existing history on upgrade. This is local deletion,
not remote erasure. OS suspension can delay physical cleanup until the app runs again.
Database free space from periodic expiry is reused, so Android's storage figure may
not shrink until explicit history clearing or full erasure compacts it.
Cashu funding and redemption remain in an external wallet. Received tokens are
unverified until redeemed; offline transfers cannot prevent double spending.
Keep secure recovery copies until external redemption. Full identity/data erasure,
including the triple-tap shortcut, destroys stored tokens. Real-fund redemption
validation has not been recorded. Location channels remain public to relays and listeners.
The recorded dependency review retains 10 affected package entries (4 high,
6 moderate); this release does not claim a vulnerability-free dependency tree.
See privacy,
storage and retention,
and Cashu instructions.
