Gnomarchy Linux v0.0.6

Gnomarchy is an opinionated, developer-first Arch Linux distribution: Omarchy's tooling and rolling base, with a tuned GNOME desktop instead of Hyprland.

Highlights

  • Command Center (Super + Alt + Space): themes, web apps, capture, snapshots, updates and power in one menu.
  • Unified Theme Engine: 22 themes (18 dark, 4 light) syncing GNOME dark/light mode, Libadwaita accent, GTK3/GTK4 colors, GNOME Terminal, Alacritty, Neovim (LazyVim), btop and the GDM greeter.
  • GNOME Terminal by default, themed through a dedicated Gnomarchy dconf profile.
  • Zone tiling with Tiling Shell: Ctrl + drag to a zone, Super + Shift + arrows to throw a window, Super + T to cycle layouts.
  • Btrfs + Snapper Rollbacks: automated boot snapshots integrated with Limine.
  • Migrations: gnomarchy update applies configuration changes to machines that are already installed.
  • Verified install: every release is cut from a commit where the QEMU install smoke test is green - the ISO is installed and the resulting desktop checked, not merely built.

Wallpapers

Theme wallpapers are downloaded at install time from the upstream Omarchy repository (pinned commit, every file checksum-verified). Gnomarchy does not redistribute them; each theme ships a generated SVG as an offline fallback. See BACKGROUNDS.md.
