Agenda

Status of Existing PRs

  1. Search Bar Placeholder Text #448 - Roy doesn't need to wait for PR#437 to land and will mention #437 while notifying about the final changes before merging.
  2. Handle paste with text and images, preferring text #438 - This is pretty close. Mingming and Rachit agreed to review this today, so should land this week.
  3. Sidebar Enhancement Reboot #437 - I am also pretty close with this one. Just waiting for reviews, and will notify #448 if I merge before that.
  4. Allow users to authenticate with Google OAuth - step1 get google info #414 - Yumei demoed this today, and seems to work well. Me and Katie will also be reviewing this, before it lands.
  5. Allow running JS/TS remotely via val.town's eval endpoint #403 - Taras and Roy are reviewing this, should ideally go into this release.
  6. Allow using camera as input on mobile with gpt-4 vision #302 - Dave and Yumei have already reviewed and approved this. Should be landing anytime soon.
  7. Fix viewport pushed by switching chats #445 - Merged during the meeting, but might need to find a better fix.

Release 1.3 Issues

A list of issues for 1.3 that don't have a PR yet.

  1. Improve audio recording UX #413 - Should be a quick one, will do it today.
  2. Use an nlp tokenizer for tts sentence parsing #386 - Not high priority, will try to get it done if possible, else move it to next release.
  3. Resize the image in the browser within the max size of the image that OpenAI will process #395 - Mingming says he'll get it in this Release.
  4. ChatCraft 'crashes' when accessing Shared Chats or Searchbar #446 - This is a ShowStopper bug. Rachit will try to fix it in this release.
  5. Allow sharing a Message vs. Chat #388 - Rachit asked for help regarding this, and might move it to Release 1.4 as the priority is #446.

Some issues were also moved to Release 1.4. We currently have a total of 12 issues for next release.

Issues raised during Meeting

A few issues were requested to be filed while reviewing some PRs in progress. Here's a list:

  1. Find a better fix for Menu Positioning #452
  2. Chat Area and Prompt Menu are not aligned perfectly #453
  3. AutoScroll in Firefox with Long Submenus #454
