clap 3.0 adds StructOpt functionality so there is no reason to depend it anymore, especially because StructOpt's dependencies are likely to be behind clap's for features and stability. See the official release blog post https://epage.github.io/blog/2021/12/clap3/ for more information.

Yes, the structopt crate docs make it very clear that it's now in maintenance mode because clap has incorporated it. |
