Beacon v0.10.2
On Linux with an NVIDIA card the window no longer flashes empty, and Claude's last reply no longer covers the terminal.
- With WebKitGTK 2.54 and NVIDIA's driver, the window flashed empty several times a second while a project was working: for a frame only what had just changed was drawn — the tab's pulsing dot, the terminal cursor, the scrollbar — and the desktop showed through the rest. A part nothing redrew could stay blank. It came from the way Beacon had to draw on NVIDIA until now, without DMA-BUF, which WebKitGTK 2.54 no longer does correctly; on 2.54 Beacon draws through DMA-BUF again, and every frame arrives whole.
- On an older WebKitGTK nothing changes. If your machine still closes the window on start with WebKitGTK 2.54, setting WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 brings the old way back, and Beacon leaves that choice alone.
- Claude's last reply no longer floats over the top of the terminal when a turn ends. It is a "Last reply" chip in the Claude panel's header, with a dot until you open it; pressing it shows the whole reply, with Copy and Dismiss, and covers nothing.
