Bug report
I have an older Pi that I thought I could use for Hyperion but it's giving this error:
2025-10-01T16:39:29.576Z [LEDDEVICE|First LED Hardware instance] (ERROR) Device disabled, device 'ws281x' signals error: 'Failed to open. Error message: Hardware revision is not supported'
I believe this is fixed in the rpi_ws281x
project since last year: jgarff/rpi_ws281x#536
But it appears this project uses an older version from 2 years ago
Steps to reproduce
Install hyperion stable via curl on Pi 3 B Rev 1.2
Set driver to ws281x, using GPIO18
What is expected?
LEDs controlled and no errors
What is actually happening?
LEDs not controlled and error shows in logs
