If my organization hosts our Wordpress website through our LGU's IT Department, do we even need to use the GWT theme?

Hello. The current version of GWT that runs on an outdated PHP version is not suitable for current use. In our case, is my LGU office required to use the GWT theme despite the fact that we are going to host it on our own City Information and Communications Technology Office instead?

We could really use a clarification on this. Seeing as other Sangguniang Panlungsod office websites that are running Wordpress aren't using the GWT theme; like Davao City's Sangguniang Panlungsod office website.

I'd like to receive clarifications on this.
