Scrapper 0.4.0
Scrapper 0.4.0
Cosmo is now Scrapper, named after the flying salvage robot from
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and joining the Hyrule Compendium family.
- New dimensional robot mascot in Brazilian green, yellow, blue, and white,
with sculpted J/G helmet initials and a matching Mac app icon. - Updated in-app idle, scanning, cleaning, and celebration animations, with
Reduce Motion support and paused motion while the app is inactive. - Renamed app, CLI (
scrapper), Swift packages, Xcode workspace and scheme,
repositories, website, and release tooling. - Existing Cosmo settings, protected items, saved scans, and cleanup history
are imported on first use. Existing Scrapper data is never replaced, and
legacy data remains intact.
The app now uses com.iamjason.scrapper; macOS may ask you to grant privacy
permissions again. Install Scrapper.app and retire the old Cosmo.app when
you are satisfied that your settings have transferred.
Cleanup safeguards remain the same: files move to Trash by default, permanent
removals are identified in the review, and protected or changed items are skipped.
Requires macOS 26 or later. Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel.
Download Scrapper-0.4.0.zip, move Scrapper.app to Applications, and open it.
Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. A SHA-256 checksum accompanies
the download. Historical releases keep their original asset names and checksums.
Cosmo 0.3.1
Cosmo 0.3.1
Cosmo now remembers your scans and gives you more control over refreshing,
protecting, and cleaning developer data.
- 156 cleanup targets across 19 categories, including nested Swift package
builds, XcodeBuildMCP workspaces, simulator devices, registered XCTest clones,
and orphaned test folders. - Saved scans and focused refresh: reopen your last results, detect filesystem
changes, refresh an item, target, category, or the whole scan, and cancel work
while keeping completed results. - Find and protect your work: filter by project, simulator, size, activity
evidence, or removal consequence. Protect individual items and whole projects,
and review growth since the previous scan. - Review every cleanup: separate Trash moves from permanent simulator
removals, follow per-item progress, review cleanup history, and retry items
after refreshing them. - Stronger cleanup checks: revalidate selected items immediately before
removal, skip targets while their tools are running, and retain simulator
runtimes using version-aware recommendations.
Files move to Trash by default. Simulator devices and runtimes are removed
permanently through Apple's simulator tools and are identified separately in
the cleanup review. Moving files to Trash does not free disk space until the
Trash is emptied.
Requires macOS 26 or later. Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel.
Download Cosmo-0.3.1.zip, move Cosmo.app to Applications, and open it.
Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. A SHA-256 checksum is included
with the download.
