MC4WP breaking product links to Cart #612

The issue
When I try to link the MC4WP Pro plugin to Mailchimp - all goes well and appears to connect. However it stops the buttons working on the membership products on the homepage.
It is definitely this connection that is triggering it, because when I disconnect the shop again, everything returns to normal. Obviously on a live site I don't want our main products to be disconnected from the ability to buy so it is currently disconnected.
The weird thing is that it works the first time on Mac Safari and then when I try to add to the basket again it shows the cart as empty and to return to the shop. It is not consistent
Chrome - works fine
Firefox first couple of times fine then same problem
Opera - very much like Safari
If this is a caching issue is the a line of code that would allow me to not have these products/shop cached. I am hosting on WPEngine and using WPRocker for caching and minifying actions of the site. In the WPRocket notes it says that all WooCommerce pages are detected and automatically not cached due to load issues. Could the connection with Mailchimp make the products/carts etc no longer appear to be WooCommerce files in the syncing process?
Any thoughts or help gratefully received.
