• Fix: Top novels and Top light novels under Top manga showed the wrong ranking (the whole top list) because the MAL filter used the singular type=novel/type=lightnovel. Correct filters type=novels/type=lightnovels applied, and stale cached rankings are invalidated.

Manga browsing improvements

• New "Adapted to anime" section in the side menu with three views: All, Airing Now (default) and Upcoming Anime, scraped directly from MyAnimeList.
• Real MyAnimeList categories for Top manga (All, Manga, Novels, Light Novels, One Shots, Doujinshi, Manhwa, Manhua, Popular, Favourited), selectable from the ⋮ overflow menu or the top status bar.
• Fix: manga covers (e.g. Bleach) are now loaded correctly in the adapted-to-anime lists.
• Fix: adapted-to-anime results no longer come back empty, and empty results are never cached.

Top anime / top manga polish

• The top status bar on Top anime / Top manga now opens a dropdown to switch categories directly.

• Reviews are now fetched directly from the MyAnimeList website, showing the full review list in the same order as on the site. Previously only a small subset of recent reviews was shown, and it didn't match the site's ordering.

Main change: migration from Jikan to the tenrai mirror

• The original Jikan API (api.jikan.moe) is no longer reliably available (504 errors / timeouts).
• The app now uses exclusively the stable mirror https://api.tenrai.org/v1 (1:1 compatible with the Jikan v4 API), which responds quickly and consistently.
• All references to jikan.moe were removed (including the certificate bypass).
• The official MAL API (api.myanimelist.net/v2) is still used for the anime/manga list, search, scores and seasonal data.

Other changes and fixes

• Seasonal: Summer 2026 loaded empty due to a poisoned cache (entries with id 0 and empty titles). Now the corrupt cache is detected and discarded.
• Seasonal: the season dropdown is now sorted chronologically and marks the current season with "(current)".
• Seasonal: the default sort is now by MAL global score (descending) instead of index order.
• Seasonal: the MAL global score is now shown on the cards.
• Performance: fixed the double-request 404 on covers (URLs xxxll.jpg), covers are now downloaded with downsampling and more parallel decoding tasks -> covers load much faster (including Chinese series / donghua).
• Reviews and anime details: fixed parsing of the new official API structure (content wrapped in node).
• About page: removed the "Get it on Windows" button and every Windows/UWP reference.

Repository

• The app is now Android-only: all Windows 10 UWP projects were removed from the repo and the solution.

CI / Releases

• Automated signed build on every push, plus official versioned releases (v*).
